At FVWG we play a wide variety of modern boardgames.

With a vast collection of several hundred different games between members, we definitely have something to suit all tastes.

If you played Monopoly or Cluedo as a kid, you may be surprised to find modern boardgames go way deeper than the familiar classics. Here is just a sample of some of the styles we play:

Area Control Games like Small World or Root, where it's all about being the boss of the board! You're vying for dominance over key locations, whether it's fertile farmlands, bustling cities, or strategic mountain passes.

Worker Placement Games like Lords of Waterdeep or Alchemists  where each turn you send out your workers to different locations, which lets you gather resources, build buildings, recruit helpers, or perform other actions. The catch? Usually once a spot is taken, no one else can use it that round!

Party Games are exactly that, games like Just One or Spyfall are usually quite simple games with light rules focusing more on fun and player interaction.

Social Deduction Games like Blood on the Clocktower or Battlestar Galactica see players working together, but some of the players are secretly working against the rest of the group!  It is up to the rest of the players to deduce who is friend and who is foe...
